Chapter 4: Tweedledum And Tweedledee
Alice Through The Looking Glass with 175 readers in aid of Cancer Research UK
Chapter 4 of "Through the Looking-Glass" by Lewis Carroll is titled "Tweedledum and Tweedledee." In this chapter, Alice meets two identical-looking, rotund brothers named Tweedledum and Tweedledee. They recite a poem about a walrus and a carpenter and share a story about a battle between two rival factions of red and white knights. Alice finds their logic and reasoning quite absurd, but she enjoys their company and the rhymes they share. The chapter emphasizes the whimsy and nonsense that are characteristic of Carroll's writing in the "Alice" stories.
